D23 Members are invited to a special event showcasing the Disney history and whimsical fun of the Bob Baker Marionette Theater in Los Angeles! This special show, created just for D23 Members, will feature live puppetry performances with iconic marionettes—including a few celebrating milestone anniversaries of some Disney and 20th Century Studios titles, such as the 85th anniversary of Pinocchio (1940), the 60th anniversary of The Sound of Music (1965), the 50th anniversary of Escape to Witch Mountain (1975), and much more!
“D23 Day at Bob Baker Marionette Theater” will include:
- An archival lobby display of Disney-related items from Bob Baker Marionette Theater’s collection, including figures from some of the earliest Main Street, U.S.A., window displays at Disneyland Resort and Epcot.
- A pre-show live organist.
- One (1) Popcorn, one (1) bottled water, and an event gift.
- A show exclusively curated for D23 Members by Bob Baker Marionette Theater’s puppeteers, which will include live Disney-themed marionette performances and historical presentations—including a marionette by The Sound of Music (1965) puppeteer Bil Baird, the marionettes featured in Escape to Witch Mountain (1975), and more!
- A backstage look at Bob Baker Marionette Theater.
- Ice cream in the lobby after the show—a Bob Baker Marionette Theater tradition!

ABOUT BOB BAKER MARIONETTE THEATER
Bob Baker Marionette Theater has been performing marionette shows and sharing the art of puppetry with Los Angeles since 1963! Named an official Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2009, the Theater has performed their original shows for over one million guests. This non-profit organization has served as an essential part of Los Angeles and puppetry history—along with several ties to Disney’s history over the Theater’s past 62 years.

- D23 General Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to three (3) guests.
- Each attendee must have a ticket in their possession for entry.
- There are a limited number of tickets available. D23 Members must log in by using their D23 Member account information when reserving tickets.
- All guests under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to attend this D23 event and will require an event ticket for admission.
- D23 Members who do not bring their membership card and tickets may not be admitted to the event. Membership card may be a physical card or a digital membership card found in the D23 App.
- Ticketed Members and guests who do not attend the event forfeit their place, as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. D23 Members must be present or guests will not gain admittance to the event.
- Video or audio recording of any kind will not be permitted during the presentation and screening.
All D23 events are subject to change without notice. All ticket sales are final. There are strictly no cancellations or refunds regardless of reason (including, without limitation, due to illness, change in travel plans, etc.) and tickets are not transferable.
