D23 Honors Disney Legend Dave Smith at Disneyland

Join D23: The Official Disney Fan Club and The Walt Disney Archives as they celebrate the life and legacy of Disney Legend Dave Smith on a special day when one of Disneyland Park’s most prestigious distinctions will honor his memory: a window on Main Street, U.S.A.!

To commemorate the big day, D23 Gold Members are invited to one of two special presentations in the Main Street, U.S.A. Opera House in Disneyland Park. We’ll hear memories from some of those who knew Dave well, including Becky Cline, Director of the Walt Disney Archives, sharing stories and fond memories of Dave and celebrating his legacy—which will continue to live on with his new window at Disneyland.

Guests will also receive a commemorative gift upon departure.

DETAILS
This event takes place inside Disneyland Park during normal operating hours. Disneyland Park admission and park reservations are not included but are required to attend. 

The D23 event does not include admission to the private window ceremony taking place earlier in the day.

Tickets are complimentary for D23 Gold Members.

The presentation will begin promptly at your scheduled time and last approximately 45 minutes. Check-in will begin 15 minutes prior. Seating is not guaranteed. The theater will remain open until the event time or until the theater has reached capacity, whichever occurs first. Late arrivals will not be accommodated.

You should also refrain from attending if you were recently in close contact with anyone who is COVID positive. Masks will be required indoors at all times.


• Valid theme park admission and park reservation is required.


• No video or audio recording of any kind will be permitted.


• D23 Gold Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to three (3) guests.


• Children should be supervised. Guests under age 14 must be accompanied by a Guest age 18 or older.


• Children under 3 years of age receive complimentary admission.


• D23 Members attending must bring their photo ID and event tickets or they will not be admitted to the event.


• Ticketed Members and guests who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event.


• D23 Members must be present for their guests to gain entry to the event.


• All D23 Events are subject to change without notice. There are strictly no cancellations or refunds, and tickets are not transferable.
